When something is complicated it may take you to long to figure it out because it is just not easily understood, or there to many steps involved. This also leads you back to being overwhelmed, but in the sense that it is the project itself that overwhelms you. This reason for procrastination is also very similar to not knowing how to do it, but you put it off not because you don’t know how to do it, but because there are to many steps from start to finish. So, where do you start? How do you take this complicated task and do it efficiently?
Baby Steps
Think about breaking the projects into manageable steps or schedules. Also, take stock or assessment of the task and do some pre-planning. And, once again, ask for help, talking it through helps with the processing of the task. Another helpful tip is to visualize, which is very similar to pre-planning and thinking the project through. In your mind see how the project will play out, step by each baby step.
